The file will be named 'Microsoft Office installer.pkg', but this may vary slightly. Mac users will need to open the download file to install Office. Windows users will receive a pop-up window that will provide instructions to install Office. Click 'Office 365' in the upper-right corner, which will display recent emails, files, and other communications. The apps panel will display and allow you to use various Office applications.
Office can be installed on up to five compatible Windows and Mac computers and/or tablets (including iPad). The licenses terminate automatically if you leave the university. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more are available for offline and online use. NKU provides Microsoft Office 365 free for faculty, staff, and current students to install on personally owned computers, as well as phones/tablets. Microsoft Office products can be downloaded any time on an NKU-owned machine by the user through Software Self Service.
